Pursuing her passion for maternal-fetal health, Dr. Sofiah underwent subspecialty training in Maternal Fetal Medicine at Universiti Malaya Medical Centre in Kuala Lumpur, complemented by advanced training at the renowned Mater Mothers’ Hospital in Brisbane, Australia. This specialized training has equipped her with the expertise to handle complex maternal and fetal conditions, including high-risk pregnancies and prenatal care.
For over two decades, Dr. Sofiah has been an integral part of Universiti Malaya, serving as a medical lecturer and practicing obstetrics and gynaecology at Universiti Malaya Medical Centre. Her dual role has enabled her to combine patient care with teaching, mentoring the next generation of medical professionals while maintaining a strong commitment to advancing women’s health.

Dr. Sofiah Sulaiman is a highly skilled Consultant Feto-Maternal Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with extensive experience in managing both general and high-risk obstetric cases. She graduated from the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1994 with her medical degree (LRCP&SI, MBBCH, BAO) and subsequently completed her postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Universiti Malaya in 2001.
