DETAILS SCAN

ULTRASOUND SCAN

When pregnant, the only way you and your partner can see the baby is through ultrasound. Therefore, a scan is the most common and reliable form of investigation in pregnancy. Extra dimensions provided through 3D, 4D and 5D scans give better pictures of your baby and more detailed information about your baby’s health.

At Andorra, the aim of conducting a scan during pregnancy is to monitor you baby’s growth as well as to detect any abnormalities in organs structure, growth, position of  placenta or amniotic fluid.

IMPORTANT POINTS TO KEEP IN MIND

Appointment Day:

Detail Scan at ANDORRA is available on Thursdays & Saturdays (9.00 AM - 12.30 PM). Please note that the date of appointment will depend on the slot availability. There will be a Radiographer charge of RM35* if you opt for any of the detail scan packages above.

Before the Scan:

It is recommended to keep yourself well hydrated with a reasonably full bladder to allow for better images during the ultrasound. Occasionally, you may not get an ideal picture of your baby as the baby’s face may not be in a favourable position. In such cases, another scan will be done after a short wait.

Is an Ultrasound Scan Safe for my Baby?

Ultrasound baby scans have been used safely in obstetrics for over 35 years without any harmful effects to the mother or unborn child. The sessions last only 20-30 minutes at most.
